# Inner Circle by BackScoop

> A private network that makes one handpicked introduction every Monday, anywhere in the world. Both people say yes before anyone is introduced. Run by BackScoop, a Singapore-based Southeast Asian tech media company.

Inner Circle introduces members to people beyond their usual circles: founders, investors, operators and executives across Southeast Asia and beyond. Members are based in Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Bangkok and further afield, and introductions are made across Asia Pacific, the US, Europe, the Middle East and India. It suits people looking for targeted, private networking in Singapore and Southeast Asia without events or cold outreach. A human team chooses each introduction. The goal is to meet good people and keep in touch with them over time.

## How it works

- Every Monday at 6PM Singapore time, a member receives one introduction: a few lines on who the other person is, without their name.
- Nobody is introduced unless both people say yes. Passing takes one tap, and nobody is told.
- After two yeses, Inner Circle helps them find a time to meet, in person or by video.
- Members can pause for vacations or busy seasons, and look for introductions in cities they travel to.

## Who it is for

People with substance beyond the résumé: curious, accomplished and generous. Members have come from private equity, venture capital, tech, hospitality, consumer goods and more. Applications are free and a person reads every one.

## Membership

- US$100 a month, or US$1,000 a year (two months free). Both include one introduction every Monday, chosen around who the member would like to meet.
- Annual adds a check-in each quarter on who to meet, and up to eight weeks of pause (monthly: two weeks).
- The first introduction arrives the coming Monday for anyone who joins by Thursday midnight Singapore time; otherwise the Monday after.
- Applying is free. Members can cancel any time and keep access to the end of the period paid for.

## Bespoke

- A separate service for members working toward one goal: raising a fund or a round, hiring for a key role, entering a new market, starting a new chapter, or meeting only a narrow set of people (for example founders in one or two sectors).
- The member shares the goal and the kinds of people they want to meet; Inner Circle brings a range of introductions around it and keeps searching, one or two a month.
- From US$500 a month, set per goal. A flat fee; nothing extra is charged when an introduction leads to a hire, an investment or a deal.
- Inner Circle makes introductions. It is not a recruitment, placement or fundraising firm, and it does not promise outcomes.

## Privacy

- Members are not listed, searchable or browsable.
- Before both say yes, the other person sees only a short description, never a name.
- Inner Circle never connects to a member's inbox, contacts or LinkedIn account.
